Pompeii: Guided Tour Departing from Naples (maximum 18 people)

We decided late in the morning of 6/15 to book a tour of the Amalfi coast. We booked through the hotel and the company they chose sent Raffaele Battiloro. We could not have been happier with the tour. Despite being incredibly knowledgeable about his country Raffaele was amazing as a tour guide and frankly just fun to hang out with. I strongly suggest this tour. If you are lucky enough to get Raffaele as your driver consider yourself fortunate. I am sure all of their drivers are great but I would be surprised if any were better. He truly made our trip more enjoyable than expected.

Our transfer from Sorrento to Naples was expertly delivered by our brilliant driver: Carmine Vertaglio. Carmine made the entire journey very relaxing and really enjoyable with his smooth driving and his easy conversational style. When we arrived at our Naples, Carmine then provided a number of recommendations in Naples….a brilliant service from a lovely man. I would strongly recommend Carmine to everybody.

Wonderful time exploring Sorrento and Amalfi Coast. Our driver and guide ROBERTA AND MARCO organized a boat trip in Amalfi in addition to our tour and it was really a huge improvement from just spending an hour in each town to take a boat and see the coast line. Much fun! Marco the driver dealt with the traffic expertly

A very good tour where at Pompeii, there is a dedicated guide (Ciro?) with detailed knowledge. Likewise at Vesuvius, there is a local guide (Veta?) with geological knowledge during the hike up. He managed the group at a nice pace with stops along the way. Only setback was we couldn’t do the hike to the edge of the crater. Apparently that path was closed. Mery D from World Tours was great in providing local knowledge and history. She spoke multiple languages (Spanish, Italian, English) fluently and catered to all nationalities. She also ensured that my youngest daughter was ok with the pace up Vesuvius. Oh yes, lunch was also good quality.
