The guide, Nello, had very little engagement with the group apart from handing out wristbands and telling us when we should be back for pick up. The tour around the island was great but where was the limoncello tasting? I did ask Nello but he said it was not the season for it?

FAQ - Frequently asked questions

How does the pick-up work for the boat tour from the Naples area?
Pick-up for the boat tour is coordinated through designated meeting points in the Naples area, ensuring efficient transfers without delays. You will receive a message with your exact meeting location and approximate time, usually within the 7:00–8:30 AM window. The shuttle then proceeds to the assigned port and follows an optimized route. Keep your ID and voucher handy for check-in. Opening hours and prices may change; please check for updates before your visit.
How long does the full boat tour from Naples to the Amalfi Coast last?
The full tour typically lasts 9–10 hours, including navigation, onshore stops, and round-trip transfers. The route features scenic locations such as the Regina Giovanna cliffs and Punta Campanella, followed by arrival in Amalfi with about 3 hours of free time. The itinerary continues to Positano, where visitors usually enjoy around 1 hour ashore. Bringing a hat helps during midday sun.
What coastal sights can you enjoy during the navigation along the Sorrento Peninsula and Amalfi Coast?
The navigation offers clear views of iconic areas such as the Regina Giovanna pools, Ieranto Bay, and the Li Galli islets, along with coastal villages like Nerano, Praiano, and the Fiordo di Furore. The route follows scenic stretches known for bright water and rocky seabeds. Approaching these spots by sea provides excellent photo angles. A reusable water bottle is helpful.
How much time is available to explore Amalfi during the tour?
The stop in Amalfi typically lasts 3 hours, giving visitors enough time to walk through the historic center, visit the cathedral, or reach the seafront. The landing point is close to the main pedestrian areas, helping minimize extra transfers. Boarding resumes according to the crew’s given schedule. Comfortable shoes are recommended for the sloped streets.
What is included during the Positano stop on the boat tour?
The Positano stop offers around 1 hour of free time, allowing you to walk the main lanes, browse local craft shops, or reach the beach area. Disembarkation occurs near the small tourist pier, making movements straightforward. The crew provides precise reboarding times. A waterproof pouch helps protect phones and documents.
From which ports does the Amalfi Coast boat tour depart?
The boat tour departs from selected ports in the towns of Naples, Ercolano, Portici, or Torre del Greco, chosen according to daily logistics and connected to the meeting points specified in the message you receive before the confirmed tour date. The actual port is assigned based on sea traffic, weather, and group size. Final details about departure location and boarding time are sent with sufficient notice. It is a good idea to reread this message the night before and allow a little extra time to reach the correct departure point.
What items are recommended for a boat tour along the Amalfi Coast?
For a comfortable tour, bring sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable shoes, especially for the onshore stops. A light layer is useful later in the day when wind may pick up. A waterproof pouch helps protect sensitive belongings. Some areas on deck may be slippery, so footwear with good grip is advisable.
What happens if weather or sea conditions are unfavorable?
If rough seas or unsuitable conditions occur, the operator may adjust the route, delay the schedule, or cancel the departure to ensure safety. When navigation cannot proceed, an alternative date is offered based on availability and expected conditions. If you are unable to join the tour on a different day, the full cost is refunded. Keeping your phone available helps you receive operational updates promptly.
Is the boat tour suitable for children?
The tour is generally suitable for children, offering protected outdoor areas and simple walking routes during stops. Bringing a hat, sunscreen, and a small water bottle is recommended. Some piers may require extra attention when stepping off. Informing the crew about strollers or special needs makes boarding easier.
Is lunch included in the boat tour?
Lunch is not included, but Amalfi and Positano offer several options ranging from quick cafés to full restaurants. The 3-hour stop in Amalfi provides enough time to choose a spot near the port or in the historic center. Securing a table early is helpful during peak months. No extra meal charges apply on board.
